    1/4 cup butter
    1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
    1 1/2 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 medium apples, peeled and diced
    1 cup fresh pumpkin (mashed)
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves


Cream butter and applesauce. Add sugar and beat. Add eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla, pumpkin and diced apples. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves together in a separate bowl. Add to pumpkin/apple mixture and blend together. Pour into a lightly greased and floured bundt cake pan or angel food cake pan. Cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 55-60 minutes. Makes 16 servings. Can serve with whipped cream or sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
