My husband never eats a pea when they are served at dinner! However, when he came home from work & smelled the crockpot soup, he had one cup and then another. I was amazed. This was great. I used 6 cups organic chicken broth + 1 cup water.. will omit the water next time to be a little thicker :) - 8/11/12

O.M.G. This was so amazing! I added one medium diced sweet red onion and omitted black pepper. Perfect. Will definitely be making this again and again. Delicious and so very easy. Thanks for sharing your recipe! - 5/12/10

Using the slow cooker on low will work perfectly! I have left it on low all day - love having dinner ready to come home to!

This turned out great! This recipe tastes almost identical to the way I usually make split pea soup with a ham bone, but I am sure it is much healthier. Thanks for sharing! - 12/20/09

Very easy to make! I cooked it on low for 7 1/2 hours and used regular bacon. Everyone had seconds. Next time, I will add potatoes. Talk about a cheap and tasty meal! - 10/16/10
