Ingredients
-
1 lbs. chopped meat (turkey or what your preference is)
2 cups pepperidge farm (or similar) herb stuffing
1 packet of low sodium chicken boullion or 1 cup of broth
1 egg
5 heaping tablespoons of locatelli (or similar good grated cheese)
one medium chopped onion or onion powder
2/3 cloves garlic or garlic powder
black pepper to suit (1 tsp)
1 cup of tomato sauce (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350
Put meat, chopped onion in a bowl, set aside
Take the boullion or soup and pour into the 2 cups of stuffing, after the breading soaks up moisture, add into the bowl with meat, as well as seasonings, cheese and egg and mix well, shape, put into a pan and cook for 60 minutes, However, if you want to add the tomato sauce, at 45 minutes, pour the tomato sauce and let cook for the last 15, if using plain tomato sauce and you want to give it a little bit of extra, sprinkle with oregano, basil or whatever other seasoning
I would say this is about 8 servings, depending on portion size.
