Introduction

What once started as Keema has now become a one pot meal. I play with the different spices to determine how much of which I'd like to incorporate. I also have used frozen peas or peppers to add a vegetable. This very tasty meal turns out with a consistency similiar to chili and can be altered to your liking. A filling bowl for just over 300 cals! What once started as Keema has now become a one pot meal. I play with the different spices to determine how much of which I'd like to incorporate. Ingredients

    Ground Turkey
    Potatoes, diced
    Onions, diced
    Canned crushed (or fresh) tomatoes
    Chicken broth
Ground Cumin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Garlic, Curry, Cayenne
Frozen peas or chopped pepper, optional

Directions

Brown 3 lbs of ground turkey with 3 cups of diced onion over medium heat in a large pot. Dice potatoes, enough for about 6 cups. Add potatoes, crushed tomatoes, and chicken broth to pot, allow to simmer. Add small amounts of spices at a time until desired taste is acheived. (I prefer a lot of heat so I use plenty of cayenne, cumin, and cinnamon. The ginger does something wonderful too though!) Add 2 cups of frozen peas or chopped pepper if you feel like something is missing. Cover and cook until potatoes are soft. It should end up being the consistency of chili and might even look like it although this will have an Indian flare thanks to the seasonings. Serves ten liberally.
