Ingredients

16 oz lean ground beef 93%
    16 oz Italian sausage, bulk
    16 Creamette Lasagna noodles
2 cans Tomato Sauce (about 30 oz total)
1.25 lb part skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
16 oz fat free cottage cheese, drained
    1 med onion, chopped
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    3 cloves garlic
    1 tbsp brown sugar
    2 tbsp oregano
    2 tbsp basil
    salt & pepper to taste
4 tbsp grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375*F
Brown meat, add onion & celery until softened, add minced garlic. Saute an additional minute. Add tomato sauce, sugar, basil, oregano, salt & pepper.
In large size lasagna pan, spray with non-stick spray, add a couple tablespoons sauce and spread to prevent noodles from sticking. Layer four noodles, sauce, mozzarella, cottage cheese. Repeat for a total of three layers. Optionally sprinkle top layer with parmesan cheese.
Cover with aluminum foil, heat in oven for 50 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

I'm not from Wisconsin, but my father's family is from Green Bay. I'm sure some of their descendants may have settled in Oconto.
