Introduction

This is a simple tart that I came up with as a way to get rid of some extra apples. Pleasantly surprising! This is a simple tart that I came up with as a way to get rid of some extra apples. Pleasantly surprising!

Ingredients

    1 can Pillsbury Big & Buttery crescent rolls, cut into 12 triangles
    1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1 T cinnamon
    1 T butter
    1/4 cup chopped pecans
    3 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced

Directions

Open, unroll, and separate crescent rolls, and cut each roll into 2 triangles. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans. Lightly butter each triangle and then sprinkle with nut mixture.
Peel, core, and thinly slice apples. Place 4 or 5 slices onto the center of each triangle and fold corners over to seal. Top with additional apple slices and nut mixture if desired.
Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 12 tarts.
