Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    6 cups canned tomato sauce
    3 cups water
    3 teaspoons garlic powder
    1 lb bag anelletti (ring shaped pasta- you could use any small pasta- alphabet or stars would be fun!)
    1 1/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/4 cup milk 2%
    2 tbs butter, unsalted
    salt, to taste

Directions

Bring tomato sauce, water, and garlic powder to boil over medium-high heat.
Add pasta and boil for 15-20 minutes, until pasta is done.
Remove from heat and stir in cheese, milk, and butter.
Add salt to taste.
Makes 10 1-cup servings.

    Very Good
    I love this recipe! It doesn't take exactly like the canned kind, but that's a good thing. My bf asks me to make it almost weekly. I use imported ditalini (small pasta used in pasta e fagioli) which adds to the sweetness of the sauce. It's a bit of a splurge dish, but worth it! - 9/6/12
