Introduction

Really good homemade pizza crust; could use whole wheat flour too--I just put the original recipe down. Really good homemade pizza crust; could use whole wheat flour too--I just put the original recipe down.
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    CRUST:
    1 Tbsp yeast
    1 tsp salt
    4 Cups flour
    1 1/2 Cups warm water
    1 Tbsp sugar
    1 egg

    SAUCE:
    1 cup tomato sauce (canned)
1 Tbsp pizza seasoning (to taste)

    TOPPING:
    1 lb extra lean hamburger
    chopped onion to taste
    1 lb mozzerella cheese

Directions

Dissolve yeast in warm water, add salt and sugar and blend in flour. Bake at 425 degrees for aprox. 10 minutes, then remove and add pizza toppings. Bake again for 15 minutes or until done depending on how many toppings were added!

Can also just tear off dough and roll into strips then bake for yummy breadsticks.

The Sauce I put in a pan and simmer for 15 minutes or so while preparing crust & toppings so flavors can meld.

Fry the onion with the hamburger, then load the crust as usual for pizza.
