Introduction

Vegetarian patties made from chickpeas. Great alternative to hamburgers. Serve on a bun, pita or other bread. Or eat them plain with yogurt sauce. Can also make them smaller for a chickpea nuggets. Ingredients

    1 15 oz can garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
    1/4 c shredded carrots
    2 tbs tahini
    1/2 tsp cumin
    1 1/2 tbls garlic
    1 tbsp olive oil (to grease pan)

Directions

Preheat oven to 425. Rinse and drain garbanzos and mash with carrots, flour, tahini, garlic and cumin. Grease a cookie sheet and shape mixture into patties. Place on cooke sheet and brush with olive oil. Bake for 10 mins turning once. Serve on a bun, pita or bread with tomato, lettuce and/or other condiments. Yum! Makes 8 4-5 inch patties.
