Directions
In a bowl, combine cereals and boiling water; let stand for 5 minutes. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. In another bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk and oil. Stir the cereal and buttermilk mixtures into dry ingredients just until blended. Fold in the dates and raisins.
Fill paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire rack. Serve warm.
