For my 24th birthday, I wanted to make a new (to me) kind of jelly cheesecake - mint! All the fruit flavours of sugar-free jelly were boring me, so I decided to experiment with peppermint oil... Worked a treat!
These muffins are a fantastic primal treat for those of us who like to use only the ingredients evolution enabled us to eat - no dairy, grains, sugar or industrially processed ingredients.
I use a small amount of cocoa in mine since I like to eat them with coconut cream and berries, so I don't need to add any sweetness to the mix itself. The muffins are almost a savoury cinnamon with a gorgeous almond aroma. Feel free to experiment with berries in the mix itself, or honey, or other sweetening / flavouring agents. Let me know what you come up with!
This pie/tart recipe is the culmination of a number of culinary experiments as I sought to design the best low-carb, sugar-free dessert to wow my relatives with at Christmas! I am very happy with this, and I hope you will enjoy it too. A VERY decadent treat for a surprisingly low amount of calories (all things considered), still avoiding the blood-sugar spikes caused by grains and refined sugars. Christmas cheer without the cramps and crankiness!
A delicious chocolate substitute for those of us seeking optimal health by avoiding sugar and grains! Full of healthful coconut oil and nuts.
This is a low-carb, low-calorie version of a lemon ricotta Italian Easter pie. This is a crustless "pie", but is very similar in flavor and texture (minus the crust). Whole milk ricotta is preferred for this recipe. Part-skim can be used, but the pie comes out grainier and more crumbly.

This makes two pies, cut everything in half to make only one pie.
real chocolate fix ...
yummy treat all the family will love and only 64.8cal per slice.....
Low Fat Brownie recipe from the Bob's Red Mill cookbook. I reduced the sugar by 1/4 cup and added dried cranberries to the mix. The yogurt really keeps these babies moist!!
The original recipe comes in at over 700 calories!!! I found a recipe that used applesauce in place of the oil. I lightened it further using skim milk, egg substitue and sweet n' low. Came out very moist and I dusted the top with 10x sugar for the little "extra", though whipped cream or a little bit of icing would be good also...or you may enjoy just plain! Not something for everyday, but definately worth it if you just have that craving that won't go away!
I'm trying this out now after not being able to eat my favorite treat for a while, which was freezing light nonfat yogurt, especially those chocolate yoplait delights, because they have artificial sweeteners. The proportions of the ingredients seem right, so we'll see!
Another favorite comfort type food for my family...this stuff is to die for!
Chocolate milkshake recipe from Hillbilly housewife, altered just a bit
With 33 grams of protein, 1 gram of fat, and under 300 calories, this can't be beat for taste!
An adaptation of traditional Deep Chocolate Cake. A delicate, fine textured chocolate cake top with a dusting of powdered Splenda.
Geek Yogurt, Strawberries and Almonds piled high over a slice of fresh angel food cake -- yum!
It is best to use Gala apples as they are firm and will keep their shape. I tried this recipe using Granny Smith and it turned out like apple sauce
