Beef/Pork Recipes (Most Popular)
Pork in tasty sauce, but you'll need a side dish to it (like mashed potatoes, but basicly anything goes really well with it)
This is a quick-to-fix portion of a meal. You can freeze it in 1/2 cup servings and put it on a bun, bread, eat it alone, or have it over a decadent low-fat hot dog!
Start by Browning ground beef in skillet, drain off fat. Add sauce (jars are 1lb 10oz - 2lb 13oz). Add seasonings of your choice to taste. While sauce is simmering cook lasagna noodles according to package or use raw ( foil will need to be placed over baking dish to ensure proper cooking of noodles). Use either 2 8''/9'' square baking dishes or 1 9x13. Drain noodles well with a quick rinse in cold water to stop cooking. Start by placeing a thin layer of meat sauce on bottom of pan, place a layer of the cooked or uncooked noodles, followed by the cheese. Repeat layers until either all ingredients have been used or till dish is full. Be sure to have cheese as final layer on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1- 1 1/2 hrs. *any flavor sauce or combination of your favorites may be used*
This is my Grandmother's traditional Beef Stew recipe. A simple recipe that can be easily adapted by adding your choice of veggies. I use fat-free, low salt broth.
