String Bean Soup Recipes

Pennsylvania Dutch recipe for a simple yet savory, filling soup.

I skim the fat off the soup - so i don't think it has as much calories as this so i lowered the serving amounts of the broth to indicate that? Can't trust the calories in this - so I am ballparking it. It you need your calories to be exact don't use this recipe. 2 cups is one serving.

A great "mug soup" in summer or winter. Feel free to serve in a bowl with a little chopped green beans or chives as a garnish. Works with fresh, frozen, or oldish beans.
