Nutrition & Calorie Comments

This has become a new family favorite! Instead of the hot sauce, I just sprinkle in some cayenne or crushed red pepper and add just a bit of sea salt. Cornbread is an excellent side dish with this. It makes way more than 6 servings, but is excellent for lunch the next day!
I tried this tonight and it was easy and fantastic! I followed pvillelady's recommendation to sub Tony Chachere's for salt and it made it even better.
This was so good, and made so much that I had to go back and double check the calorie content!!! I fed two adults and two small children and still have more than half left.
My family loves this recipe! I use Healthy Choice smoked sausage for fewer calories and sodium and add a teaspoon of Tony Chachere''s salt-free Creole Seasoning for an authentic creole taste. Makes plenty for leftovers!
