As others have mentioned I did have to simmer mine longer ( about an hour). Also the calorie count is high because it is calculated for 4 servings but the recipe makes 8 cups. So I get 8 servings out of the recipe not the 4 it says. Submitted by:

Delicious! I cooked the turkey and onions in a frying pan, then put all ingredients into a crockpot on high for 3 hours. I also added a can of chickpeas. I am watching my sodium intake and was able to use "no sodium added" canned goods. Submitted by:

Love it I made this recipe but only added kidney beans and it was good even my kids loved it. Next time going to make a bigger pot so it will last longer. It also was a little less in calories and carbs too. Submitted by:

Excellent It is very tasty. I used no salt stewed tomatoes and 8 oz no salt tomato sauce. I also used lo salt pinto beans and rinsed them to lower salt . I did not notice the lowering of salt in take. Submitted by:

Made this a few days ago and loved it! I only added a little garlic powder and a pinch of salt, because my tomatoes were home canned. My husband and I both loved it! Not sure why some reviews say this recipe is not flavorful...tasted much fresher than the kind from a mix and had some kick :) Submitted by:

My son, husband and son's friend loved it.
I made it from chicken breast, and browned chicken and onions 1.5 tsp olive oil. And YES it's better a few hours later.
I started creating a makeover, but calories and nutrients are almost the same.
