Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I have been challenged trying to cook steel cut oats in the microwave, but finally found a small mixing bowl that will not boil it over. I have learned to avoid butter, milk and sugar. I use a banana and blueberries to sweeten it and cinnamon for zest.
I love steel cut oats. I tried the recipe above, and compared it to following basic cooking directions. (Basic boiling water and oats) with brown sugar/cinnamon. I can scarcely tell any difference. It's back to basic and less calories for me --tho this was very good.
Yum!!!!!!! I just did water and then sprinkled with brown sugar...it was really good!
