This was really good. I think next time I'll add some sliced fresh mushrooms and maybe only put in about 1/2 the onion soup mix. - 2/6/10

Very good, very easy, great crockpot recipe! I used only a half cup of water & it was plenty -- next time, I probably won't use any. - 5/13/09

I love this recipe. You could also substitute cream of chicken instead of the mushroom soup. Also some times I put a bit of low fat sour cream just before serving especially if I am using noodles. Yummy! - 1/22/09

Delicious! It begs some kind of accompaniment (rice or noodles) but I ate it alone since I'm doing low carb. Anyone have thoughts for a low carb accompaniment that would be similar to rice? - 7/8/11

I absolutely loved this recipe. I cooked egg noodles separately and then added them (broke up the chicken breasts) and it was just so darn good. Next time I think I'll even use 1/2 the chicken. Thanks for the great recipe. - 6/4/08

Easy and tasty. I added a couple of small red skin potatoes and they came out perfect. DH says it "needs something" so we'll play around next time. Also use less water; the sauce was a little bit runny for my taste. - 4/5/10

Very good, and super easy. I used mushroom-onion soup mix, really good flavor and I added mushrooms. The sauce was a watery so I added some cornstarch; next time I'll probably cut the water. But all-in-all it's excellent!

It was extremelly bland for me. I needed to add lots of spices and herbs. I thought it would have more flavor. I also added some wild rice and that helped it alot for me. It was amazing in the end! - 3/28/11

Do realize that onion soup mix has MSG in it so I think the sodium level is going to be way higher! - 1/19/08

I skipped the onion soup mix to save on sodium. Used real onion instead and added seasonings. Much better since the canned cream of mushroom already added a lot of saltiness. - 11/2/20

Amazing!! I went by the recipe but did cut back on the water to 1/2c; next time I would eliminate all together. It was so flavorful and the chicken fell apart. We went with a side of mashed cauliflower/potatoes but egg noodles or rice would be great!! - 9/8/20

Use 6 breasts sliced in half, instead of two sliced in half. Way too much liquid. You want to just add more chicken. Don't change anything else. You will love it! Gravy makes a nice topping for steamed rice and/or potatoes of your choice! - 2/21/18

What a great easy recipe. I used cream of chicken soup instead and added egg noodles near the end and it was so delicious. I also added low fat sour cream so the egg noodles would take up some of the extra liquid. I was able to add white rice with this for a complete meal instead of noodles - 12/21/17

Didn't use slow cooker, simply made the sauce in a pan over low heat for 30 minutes. Used sauce for pasta and grilled chicken on top, delicious and so easy! Thanks! - 11/12/17
