Ingredients

    4 cube steaks
    3 tablespoons of lime juice
    16 oz jar of salsa
    black pepper to taste

Directions

Brown the cube steaks on both sides. Mix salsa, lime juice and black pepper in a bowl. Once the beef is browned, pour salsa mixture on top of the meat and simmer for 10 minutes. Makes 4 servings.

    My family loved this. It was spicy enough that others could add more if they liked it but others weren't having problems eating it. I like The idea of adding more garlic & cilantro. I'll try that. - 9/7/08

    Was okay, but needed more flavor, even using medium slasa it seemed bland to me. Next time I'll marinade the cube steak first in the salsa and lime, and will add cilantro and garlic for more flavor. Served with spanish rice, family liked it. - 5/14/08

    This looks like a good recipe, but the calories are wrong, there is no way that a cube steak could have 553 calories...
    Each serving is probably closer to 200 calories.
