Ingredients

    Ingredients:


    1 cup Fat free half and half
    1 cup Water
    1 Tbsp. Garlic
    2 cup Chicken Broth
    3 Tbsp. Whole Wheat Flour
    1 cup Mushrooms, fresh
    4 Tbsp. Sour Cream
    4 Tbsp. Hormel Bacon Bits
    4 cups chopped Potatoes
    1 Tbsp Parsley, dried
    1/4 cup Cheddar Cheese
    1/2 cup Carrots, raw
    1/2 cup Celery, raw
    1/2 cup Onions, raw
    4 Tbsp. chives minced
    ****The "secret" ingredient****
    1 Tbsp. Barbeque Sauce make sure it has smoke flavor in it (or 1/2 tsp. smoke flavor)

Directions

Combine potatoes, water, broth, garlic, parsley, mushrooms, carrots, celery, onions and barbeque in crockpot. Cook on low setting for 10 hours or until potatoes are mashable. Mix flour into FF half n half until smooth and pour into crockpot and cook another hour. pour into bowls and sprinkle evenly each with bacon bits, cheese, sour cream, and chives. Enjoy!

Makes 6 small servings or four large.

    This recipe was a little more work than I anticipated, but it was well worth it. It was really tasty and filling for a low fat, low calorie recipe. I will definitely make it again. - 12/14/08

    This was good but it was a little too much garlic for my family. I did end up adding a little salt and pepper as well. But, I'd make it again and it smelled wonderful when I walked in the house. - 4/20/11

    I am in LOVE with this recipe. I made it so I could take it for lunch and it is absolutely amazing and very filling! I ate around noon and didn't need a snack or anything until nearly 4. I used no sodium chicken broth to lower sodium content but w/ the bacon bits you can't even notice a differenc - 10/26/10
