Introduction
With the strong flavor of orange and strawberries, combined with creamy banana and a surprisingly smooth taste from spinach, you get at least 2.5 servings of fruit & veggies! Pretty awesome.. With the strong flavor of orange and strawberries, combined with creamy banana and a surprisingly smooth taste from spinach, you get at least 2.5 servings of fruit & veggies! Ingredients
-
up to 2.5 cups spinach leaves
1 medium banana
7 good sized strawberries
up to 3/4 cup orange juice
Directions
Put everything in a blender and blend until no more bits of spinach leaf are whirling around. If you want, you can blend the spinach and orange juice together first to make this faster!
Makes about 2 cups.
I like to freeze this in ice-cube trays and dump it in a 'to go' cup for a quick breakfast on the way to work.

THANKS! I have this in my favorites. My girls saw me make this as my after workout snack, and they wanted one after taking a sip. Now, they are asking to have one everyday. They dubbed these, "Incredible Hulk Shakes"... What a great way to get spinach in my kids! THANK YOU! Very filling, too! - 8/27/08

I wasn't too sure about this, but it was yummy. I used 1/2 cup frozen strawberries and 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries and this upped the fiber and antioxidants. Because of the berries, mine wasn't green but this awful purply color with green specks. It looks gross but don't be deceived it's yummy! - 1/23/11

I have been doing a green smoothie challenge since 1/2/09 and let me tell you I noticed a difference and the smoothie is good. I use 2 types of green--mostly spinach and either kale(good), swiss chard(good) or collard greens (have not tried but have the item). The color is weird but oh so good. - 1/10/09

My mom says the same thing! If you want you can try eating a handful of almonds (or other nuts) with it. The fats and protein from the nuts can help you feel fuller longer! Also you get the satisfaction of chewing something - which can help!

This is my first green smoothie. I must say I am impressed. I used a mixture of spinach, kale, chard and carrots. I got it at SAMs. Called Power Greens. I may cut back on the oh next time just because I can be sugar sensitive and never know when I will go into a coma. But all else this is great. - 1/14/15

I must admit, I was skeptical to try this one... I was pleasantly surprised at how great it tastes. I added ice cubes to mine to make it nice and chilly. I think next time I'm going to add some flax seed as well. For added protein I would suggest adding greek yogurt or vanilla protein powder. - 12/12/13

I enjoyed the smoothie, you definitely couldn't taste the spinach. I'm not huge on o.j. though so that's probably why I am not as excited about it as some of the others. It was a little odd mixing bananas and oranges, for my taste anyway. Next time I will just add the spinach to my morning smoothie. - 5/9/12
