Ingredients

    1 cup fresh Strawberries
    Juice of 1 Lemon
    2 tsp Granulated Sugar

Directions

Clean, hull, and slice or chop strawberries. Add strawberries to a shallow bowl. Pour the juice of one lemon over the strawberries and sprinkle the sugar on top. Stir to coat all pieces.

Enjoy immediately (and slowly for it is DELICIOUS!) or refrigerate for 10 minutes to allow the strawberries to release extra syrup-y goodness!

Makes 2 half cup servings.

(Alt: Use Splenda or your sweetener of choice if preferred. Also, you can use more lemon juice if you love it to be extra sour, like me, or less if you want just a hint)

(Other ideas:
-Serve with whipped topping in martini glasses for an elegant and quick dessert.
-Add as a filling for cakes, or to top shortcake or angel food cake.
-Add bananas to the final mixture for a classic treat.
-Mix in other fruit for a tangy fruit cup!)
