Ingredients
-
2 Bananas, peeled
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp water/cream
Directions
1.Peel and freeze 2 bananas and put them into Ziplock bags.
2.Freeze for at least half a day (I usually do this the day before so I don't have to wait)
3. Once frozen solid, add the bananas to a food processor (blenders will not work as well) and turn the processor on until the banana gets creamy without any lumps. You may need some water or cream at this point to help the processor chop up the banana.
4. After creamy and smooth, add in vanilla extract.
5. Scrape the ice cream out into two bowls and serve immediately. It should be eaten quickly before it melts.
The natural sweetness of the banana is enough to make it sweet but not overpowering, so you will probably not need any sweetener. This is a simple and quick dessert that both kids and adults will love.
*optional* To change up this recipe, you can add in cocoa powder, extracts, granola, coconut, frozen strawberries, mangos, etc.
Serves 1-2 people.
