Introduction

Did not have the usual ingredients for my meat loaf so I just threw in what I had and it came out the best ever. Did not have the usual ingredients for my meat loaf so I just threw in what I had and it came out the best ever.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 - 1 1/2 pounds 83% lean ground beef
    1 egg
    3/4 cup crushed saltine crackers
    1/2 cup crushed french fried onion rings

    1 - 8oz can of tomato sauce for the top or you can use ketchup and brown sugar if you like a more barbecue taste

Directions

Mix all ingredients except the tomato sauce. form in to a loaf or round shape and bake in glass pie plate or other shallow pan.
Bake at 350 for 60 minutes. for last 10 minutes cover with tomato sauce.
You can also mix 1 cup of ketchup with a tbl of brown sugar and pour that over the top

    another thing that is good is use ritz crackers and befor you cook it poke holes in the meat loaf and stuff small cubes of velveeta into each hole. - 7/16/08
