Would be lower sodium with fresh garlic, pepper, onion and a touch of salt, the way I make it. You can use garlic from a jar and frozen onions for convenience. - 1/30/11

    O.K.
This recipe didn't turn out for me at all. I followed the recipe exactly but after 10 hours on low the vegetables were still hard and the beef was tough. I ended up throwing it all into a roaster and roasting it at 350 for another hour just to soften everything up. Tasted fine then. - 1/27/09

You might check your crockpot. That has happened to me before and after about 3 failed pot roasts I borrowed someone elses crockpot and tried it and it worked fine...my crockpot went straight into the trash.

My family loved this - I only did 1/2 a packet of lipton onion soup mix as it gets pretty strong - 12/20/08

THis is now in the crock pot for dinner tonight. I wonder how to figure out what the calories would be for 2oz meat and 1 1/2 cups of veggies. I'm more a veggie than a meat eater. Does anyone know how to figure this out? - 12/5/08
