I make this regularly. For either the buttermilk, yogurt or mayo, I will often swap cottage cheese or sour cream depending on what I have on hand. This is also delicious with avocado added, although it does up the calories - 4/11/18

I made this last night and my husband and I absolutely loved it. I chose to roast my garlic and used about 5 small-medium sized cloves. We love garlic and that still didn't seem to be quite enough. I also added a small avocado rather than using mayo to be on the healthier side and used greek yogurt. - 8/15/13

this sounds good! i roast 2 heads of garlic pretty much every week when i'm doing my weekly salad fixings, dry beans, grains, boiling eggs, beets, etc for the week.
anyway i bet the roasted garlic would really bump up the flavor in this. yum!

Wow!! I was amazed by how good this was! A keeper for sure! Thanks for sharing! (I did modify it slightly. I used a couple tablespoons of chopped regular onions instead of scallions, and I omitted the vinegar.) - 5/28/11

Holy COW that is delicious!!!! I wouldn't have thought to put those ingredients together! I did 1/2 the mayo, since I'm not a big fan of the taste, doubled the dill and added 1/8 c more buttermilk. Perfect for my tastes.

    EXCELLENT job!!!

This salad dressing is amazing. My only problem other than wanting to eat the whole bowl of salad myself was that my food processor didn't chop up the garlic cloves and I got an entire clove in my serving...WOW did that burn when I bit into it. - 1/25/09
