My very favorite meal!! My Grandmother Made this and My Mom made it too. now I make it. so very good and so very easy. I have so many people tell me this is the best sauce they ever had! Ingredients

    2 29-30 ounce cans Hunts tomato sauce
    1 cup diced onion
    3 teaspoons minced garlic
    4 tablespoond dried basil
    4 tablespoond dried oregano
    1 teaspoon dried crushed bay leaves
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 large can tomato paste
    1 cup parm. cheese ( kraft or store brand)
    1 lb lean ground beef
    1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
    1 egg
    1 tablespoon water

Directions

first mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, and water together. set a side. next mix everything else in a crockpot. roll meat mixture into med. sized meatballs and drop each one into sauce in crock pot. (the meat will cook in the sauce and give it wonderful flavor) cook on low 7-8 hours or on high 3-4-hours.

    I made this last night for dinner tonight. Do you put the paremesean cheese into the crockpot too? I left it out to serve on top. What is a large can of tomato paste? I used 6ozs and I think it was fine but I also didn't add both cans of Hunts sauce. - 4/28/11
