I made these with garlic powder, lowerys and black pepper. Also addded a dash of sugar to sweeten the turnip. They were nice and spicy. cooked them at 375 for about 45 minutes turning occasionally. Excellent and served with steak - 8/6/08

This is one of my favorites!!! I usually add some garlic and crushed red pepper to then. And make sure you flip them a couple times to get them nice and crisp! - 4/28/07

A good substitute for french fries... tried to eat them plain but the taste was too different for me, so I added ketchup. - 6/9/08

    O.K.
Maybe it was the turnips I used but my fries, although I flipped them and followed directions, were rubbery and not very tasty. What do you think? Was it just my turnips? - 11/21/07

A nice surprise! I had never tried a turnip before making this recipe -- and I will definitely make it again! In place of ketchup, I used a little horseradish sauce, but all in all this was a great recipe - thanks!! - 9/23/07
