egg substitute, chia gel (chia seeds soaked in water) no breadcrumbs but ata or chickpea flour (indian tip - does not absorb much oil) and, I use oven to cook or my flat griddle pan with swipe of oil! - 6/6/13

Please note that the nutritional data is incorrect as shown. They used the listing for 1 cup of COOKED lentils, and not for the 3 cups that you actually get when using the 1 cup raw, dried as listed in the ingredients. Calories per serving should be 235. - 3/15/16

My family liked them but I think they were a little bland for my tastes. I recommend using a lot less bread crumbs and add salt and pepper. I didn't use the recommend sauce but it did pair well with honey mustard, avocado and tomato. Thanks for the recipe! - 3/24/16

Question: can these be frozen? If so, how - cook first, cook partway, freeze uncooked, etc.? Anyone try freezing these? - 4/14/17
