Is the turkey pre-cooked first? I thought for a slow cooker meat has to be browned....wondering. Can't wait to try it--YUM - 12/23/07

I don't like ground turkey, so used lean beef. This was a good bowl of chile for a cold winter's day. - 12/21/07
