I've made this the last couple of years, and will be doing so again this year. Always end up with a completely empty dish. - 11/21/12

Made it at Thanksgiving; replaced canned cream of mushroom soup with a mix of half&half, minced mushroom and 1 tablespoon of starch. I'm still being asked for the recipe... Thumbs up! - 1/24/10

I used reduced fat Cream of Celery soup for the non-mushroom people and got rave reviews--had to make it again for Christmas--might try Cream of Onion soup next time. A friend adds a tiny bit of Liquid Smoke to his. - 12/26/11

I find the fat free creamy soups to lack a bit in the flavor department, so I added some extra herbs and spices, but I love this recipe! Thank you for the healthy idea! - 3/27/11

I've always made mine this way, too, but I add a bit of soy sauce... this ups the sodium level but gives a little zest. - 1/17/10

LOVE this!! I made it for Thanksgiving and the family loved it and then for the cub scout Christmas dinner and it was gone. Tonight I made it for the Blue and Gold bridging ceremony for my son to bridge over to Boy Scouts and it was once again all gone!! - 3/21/15

My cousin makes a green bean casserole that is to die for, but it is so fattening (she puts a lot of Swiss cheese in it)! I made this for our church Thanksgiving yesterday and it was a big hit. No one knew it was a healthier version until I told them. I will be making this again! - 11/11/13

My grandma always added pimientos to hers and it adds an interesting and delicious dimension to it. :) I will definitely be trying this version (plus the pimientos of course!!) this year for our Thanksgiving feast. - 11/4/13
