The taste was pretty good but the texture wasn't. They cooked fine on the outside but the inside was completely mushy. I cooked them longer on low heat and they wouldn't firm up. I even used less egg white. I might use even less next time. And maybe a little less tomato sauce. - 6/20/11

Sorry about the mushiness, some tins of tuna seem to be watery and it's hard to get all the liquid out. These are soft burgers, maybe leave the egg white out completely and use just enough tomato sauce to bind.

I used to make something similar to this without the tomato sauce and without the wheat flour for
my grandmother. She ate them like meat with her meals. She liked them quite well! Have a
Super & Blessed Saturday! P.S. If I made it I would have to put white flour in, since I have no wheat

Am I doing something wrong? I tried to make this recipe but it always seemed mushy in the middle. Is that how it is supposed to be? Not sure myself since I am new at this cooking thing. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. - 10/18/10

Sorry it was mushy. Make sure you drain the tuna well and try only one egg white. If still mushy try no egg white, I'm not sure how well it will set but it's worth a try.
