Ingredients

1 pkg Turkey Italian Sausage (Sweet or Hot) - 19.5 oz
14 pkg Ground Turkey - 20 oz
2 - 28 oz can Tomato Puree
2 - 14.5 oz can Stewed Tomatoes - Italian Style
12 oz can Tomato Paste
4 cloves garlic - crushed
2 cup sliced mushrooms
3 lg yellow or orange bell peppers
3 lg zucchini/ Italian squash
1 Tbs Basil
1 Tbs Oregano
1 Bay Leaf
1 tsp Kosher Salt
1/4 cup sugar (white) - optional
Directions
In large pot, place ground turkey and turkey sausage that you have removed from skin and broken up in pan. Brown meat until it is fine crumbles. Add tomato puree, stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, crushed garlic and seasonings. Add sugar if desired. Allow to come to a boil.
Cut all vegetables into 1" size pieces. Add to pan of sauce. Reduce temperature and allow to simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and add kosher salt as needed. Simmer another 15 minutes.
Serve with any pasta or in lasagna.
