Introduction

This is a twist on an old standby that my family just loves. This is a twist on an old standby that my family just loves.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    meatloaf:
    16 oz ground beef
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 large egg
    1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
    1/4 cup tomato sauce
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp black pepper

    glaze:
    3/4 cup tomato sauce
    1 Tbsp chopped onion
    3 tsp Splenda brown sugar
    1 Tbsp white vinegar
    1 tsp dry mustard

Directions

For meatloaf:
Combine all listed ingredients in bowl, stiring lightly( or two clean hands work better). Shape into loaf on a baking dish.

For glaze:
Combine all ingredients in small saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Pour over meatloaf.

Bake at 350 degrees for 60-90 minutes. The loaf may be basted once or twice during baking, but isn't necessary.


Makes approx 6 (3 oz) servings
