I dreamed this up when I was recovering from a fever and felt chilled. Warm siup was what I wanted, and I'm vegan. This low-calorie, low-fat soup hit the spot. The whole recipe is a meal for one, with some crusty bread and Earth Balance buttery spread. Serves 2 if cut in half as a soup course with other food. Ingredients

    1 Cup Pacific Natural Foods Organic Vegetable Broth
    1/2 Cup Amy's Organic Traditional Refried Beans
    1/2 Cup Mushrooms, canned, ( small can, with broth)
    1/2 Tsps Bragg Liquid Aminos (or 2 or 3 sprays)
    1 Tsp Frank's Red Hot hot sauce, or more to taste

Directions

1. Empty a 1-cup container of vegetable broth into small saucepan.

2. Add a 4-ounce can of sliced mushrooms.

3. Stir in 1/2 cup of Amy's vegetarian refired beans, and stir or whisk until completely dispersed in the broth.

4. Season with Bragg's and hot sauce to taste.

5. Heat until bubbly.

Eat it all with crusty bread and Earth Balance vegan butter substitute for a filling and warming meal. Serve half of it as a soup course with another vegan entree or salad if you prefer. Enjoy!
