Ingredients

1.5 pounds goat meat, cubed, fat trimmed
1 TBSP ghee
2 TBSP ginger, fresh minced
2 cloves garlic, fresh minced
2 medium onions, diced
2 TBSP chili powder
2 TBSP coriander, ground
2 TBSP cumin ground
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp garam masala
.5 tsp black pepper ground
.5 tsp salt
2 bay leaves, crushed
1- 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes, no salt added
1 cup water
1 TBSP ghee
1 tsp cardamom ground(1 pod=1/6tsp.)
1 star anise
.5 medium onion, sliced
1 jalapeno pepper, minced
2 cups (16oz.) Greek yogurt
Directions
Makes eight servings.
Heat 1 TBSP ghee in large fry pan.
Cook goat meat just enough to brown the outside, then remove to bowl.
Add ginger and garlic just to soften.
Add onions until translucent.
Add 8 spices for couple seconds, then add tomatoes with juices and water.
In larger fry pan, heat ghee.
Add cardamom and star anise for seconds.
Add onions and jalapeno until translucent.
Add goat meat. Cook on low for 45-60
minutes.
Add yogurt and heat until hot.
Can serve over basmati rice. May top with chopped, fresh coriander (optional). Both these not in calorie count.
