Ingredients
-
- 4 cups of fresh broccoli finely chopped
- 1 cup of tasty apple chopped small (I like Pink Lady)
- 1/3 cup of craisins, you can use raisins if you prefer
- 1 oz of slivered almonds you can also use pecans or
sunflower seeds
- 2 oz of Dubliner Irish cheese (from Costco) gruyere is
also quite nice. Chop very small.
- Brianna's Poppyseed Dressing. Do not dress the entire
salad. Dress the servings. You never need more than a
tbls per servings. This is where the calories and fat are
but it adds a nice flavor that brings everything together.
Calories calculated include it.
Directions
This is a no cook salad. It just requires cutting up all of the ingredients (i.e. the broccoli, apples, and cheese) then adding in the nuts and craisins.
I found it easiest to place all of my ingredients into a tupperware container with a lid as I go. When I have everything in there I place the lid on and shake it up to mix.
Keep it in the refridgerator it will last several days. A serving is 3/4 to 1 cup. Lightly dress.
Don't hesitate to experiment. I added other ingredients such as mandarin oranges, pineapple, and shredded carrots depending on my mood and what's in my refridgerator.
