Ingredients
-
Mama Mia's Thin and Crispy 12" crust
1 1/2 c. reduced fat mozarella cheese
17 Turkey Pepperoni Pieces (a serving)
1 can tomato paste
garlic powder
red wine vinegar
oregano
Directions
Preheat to 450.
Add water to paste using 1 to 1 ratio. For this pizza, I used one can of tomato paste and one can of water for two pizzas, so you will need about half the can for one pizza. It will keep for a week if you want to go ahead and make the whole can. Add a tsp of garlic powder and a tsp of oregano -- either measure or shake to taste. Add 1 tsp of olive oil and 2 tsp of red wine vinegar. Simmer for about ten minutes, or until bubbling. (Be careful because tomato paste will start spattering)
While sauce is simmering, chop up any veggies you plan to add and place in microwave for one minute to soften. I use whatever I have on hand. Can also add jalapeno or banana peppers, although that will up your sodium.
Spread sauce on pizza, cover with cheese, pepperoni, and any vegetables. Bake until cheese is starting to bubble and brown.
