My way of making lima beans My way of making lima beans
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 Cups Baby Lima Beans
    1 Medium Onion
    5 slices Kroger Thick Cut Bacon
    6 cups of water
    5 bullion cubes
    Salt/pepper to taste
    Cayanne Pepper to taste
    100 grams Mushrooms (more if you like em)

Directions

Soak and sort as usual for beans

Add bullion, onion, to beans as you start to cook them.

Chop up bacon into 1/2 slices and seperate and add them to the stock.
Bring to a boil, add cayanne pepper and mushrooms, boil for about 5 mins, reduce heat, uncover and let simmer on medium low until beans are fork tender.


Serves about 8

    Very nice...Thanks for the share. The only adjustments I made was I also mustard, curry instead of cayenne pepper and tomatoes instead of bacon (vegetarian in the house). - 2/8/20
