Introduction

Refreshing way to use all that summer mint. Extra sugar is added to offset the bourbon. You can certainly tone that down. Refreshing way to use all that summer mint. Extra sugar is added to offset the bourbon. You can certainly tone that down.

Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    Granulated Sugar, 2 cup (remove)
Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    *Fresh Mint, 16 tbsp (remove)
    *Jim Beam, 16 oz (remove)

Directions

Mix sugar and water in heavy pan. Bring to boil. Add bruised mint leaves (the more the mintier) and turn off heat. Let seep for 15 minutes. Strain mint. Pour Simple Mint Syrup (which you just made) over a full cup of ice and add bourbon. I like to use 1:1 ratio of syrup to bourbon, but many prefer 1:2. Usually 1-2 oz each. Drink up!
