Introduction

Quick all-purpose sauce that can be used for lasagna, tacos, or casseroles. Add various vegetables and they are easily incorporated into this recipe.

Ingredients

    2 lbs of ground bison
    1 tsp minced onion
    1 whole garlic with all cloves (microwave for 100 and then peal and squish with the side of your knife)
    1 can (28oz) of diced tomatoes, no salt added
    1 can (28 oz) tomato sauce (I used herb & garlic)
    1 tsp oregano, dried
    1 tsp basil, dried
    1/2 tsp thyme, dried

Directions

Brown meat. No draining needed with bison as this is a very low fat red meat.

in a large sauce pan add canned sauces and seasonings. Chop garlic and add this as well. Simmer. The longer this is simmered the better, but can easily be ready and on the table in 30 minutes
