Ingredients
-
2 lbs lean ground sirloin (10% fat)
3 cans tomato sauce (8 oz cans)
2 10 oz cans of Rotel diced tomatoes and chiles
2 medium cans of pinto beans (I prefer Bush's)
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 small can green chiles
2 tsp chili powder
.5 tsp ground cumin
.5 tsp cilantro
Directions
Makes 12 1-cup servings
In a 10-in skillet combine ground sirloin with half of the cumin, cilantro and chili powder. Cook until just brown
In a crock pot, combine ingredients (be sure to drain the beans). Add the sirloin and cook on high for 90 minutes or until hot .
Tip: to cut the cooking time, try using a regular pot at medium-high heat on your stove.
Serve with corn chips or gluten free corn bread.
