Ingredients

    1 tbsp oil
    2 lb stew beef- such a round steak cut into 1-2 inch cubes
    1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
    1 tbsp flour
    salt, pepper, bay leaves, steak spice to taste
    1/2 c red wine
    3 cup potatoes cubed
    1 cup carrots sliced into 2 inch chunks
    1 cup celery chopped in 2 inch chunks
    1- 341 ml can corn kernels drained
    1- 540 ml can whole tomatoes- do NOT drain
    1- 398 ml can sweet peas drained

Directions

Brown stew beef and fry onion together in a skillet with 1 tbsp of preheated oil. Once the meat is brown dust on the flour and spices. Remove from heat and add red wine. Transfer to a large crock pot. Add the remaining ingredients and let cook for 4 hours.
