in a hamilton beach iced tea maker:
    1 qt water into reservoir
    1/4 c sugar into carafe
6-8 teabags, depending on taste and strength level*

    add teabags to teabag reservoir
    add sugar to carafe
    start brew cycle.
    stir sugar to dissolve
add ice to ice fill line
    refrigerate. serve cold.

*# of teabags will depend on how strong you like your tea, and what strength setting you have on your machine. it will also depend on what brand of tea you are using. i use store brand decaf tea, and the strong setting, and i use 8 bags. if i use lipton, i need 7 bags. the stronger your setting, the less bags you will need, which saves you money.

makes 2 qts iced tea, or approx 5.3 12 oz servings
