    1 lb. 93% lean ground turkey
    1/2 lb. hot Italian turkey sausage
    1 cup chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 28 oz. can diced or crushed tomatoes (depends on if you like chunky tomatoes in your chili)
    1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
    1 14.5 oz. can spicy chili beans
    1 14.5 oz. can mild chili beans (I puree it to thicken the chili...and my husband doesn't like a lot of beans)
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    1 tsp. cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp. hot sauce


In a 10 inch skillet cook ground turkey, sausage, onion and garlic over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until turkey and sausage are thoroughly cooked; drain.

In a 3 quart crock pot combine turkey mixture and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 7 to 8 hours.

Makes 7-1 1/2 cup servings.
