Introduction
This is the best tasting Ranch dressing we've found. We didn't care for it with low-fat mayo, but that could have been the brand down here. I will try it again and post results. Ingredients
-
1 cup real mayonnaise
4 Tblsp. powdered buttermilk in 1 cup water
1/2 tsp. dried chives
1/2 tsp. dried parsley
1/2 tsp. dill weed
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
Directions
Mix mayonnaise, buttermilk powder and 1 cup of water with a mixer or blender.
Add spices and mix well. Allow to sit about 10 minutes to reconstitute the dried minced onion. Store in covered container in refrigerator.
Serving size 2 Tablespoons.
The directions called for 1/2 cup of buttermilk, but it was very thick. Using 1 cup of buttermilk works to make it more the consistency of salad dressing.
The nutritional information considers using Saco powdered buttermilk mixed with water.
