Introduction
This Hearty Chili is my spin on my Dad's amazing chili I grew up eating. Preparation can be extremely simple & healthy or low sodium with store bought ingredients. It is economically friendly and yields enough for a large group of people, sharing with neighbors, and freezing. It is zesty due to its variety of beans, added vegetables, and versatility. Try it with with lean ground round (93-7%), lean turkey, or no meat at all. The best part is there is minimal risk of this recipe turning into a disaster! Drain excess fat from meat and add crushed garlic, onions, and celery, while adding half of the Chili Powder and No Salt Seasoning. Saute for 5 minutes (do next steps during this time).
Open cans of tomatoes, beans, and prepare any other vegetables or pull bags from the freezer. Drain, and rinse beans (reduces sodium) except for Chili Beans.
