dinner in under 20 minutes~ dinner in under 20 minutes~Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
Flank steak
low sodium soy sauce
Sherry (or sake)
brown sugar
cornstarch
fresh ginger
snow peas
scallions
olive oil
red pepper flakes (just a pinch)
Jasmine rice
Directions
Mix together soy sauce, sake, sugar, cornstarch, red pepper flakes and ginger. Add thinly sliced meat (cut against the grain!) - toss together well and set aside.
Heat oil in wok over high heat and add snow peas and stir for approximately 1 minute (you want them to still be crunchy). Remove from pan and set aside.
Allow wok to get hot again. Place meat in pan in one layer (you may have to do this a couple of times) you don't want to stir the meat, let it brown and then turn over. Throw in the scallions here too. Remove from pan and repeat until all meat is browned.
Once meat is all done toss meat and peas back into pan and stir a couple of times to reheat.
Serve over rice.
