Ingredients

    12 small Granny Smith apples
    6 pints Arrogant Bastard Ale
    2 cups Brown Sugar
    2 tsp (each) ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg
    4 whole cloves
    Zest 2 lemons
    2 pints Barefoot Merlot

Directions

Peel and core apple and dry roast in a slow oven until the almost burst. Combine 2 pints of ale with sugar, spices, and lemon zest. Simmer over low heat foe 20 minutes. Add remaining ale and wine and heat but do not boil.
