Ingredients

2 tsp. olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb. ground turkey
1/3 cup ketchup
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Pinch cayenne
Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions
In a bowl mix together ketchup, tomato sauce, worcestershire, vinegar, brown sugar, thyme, oregano, and cayenne - set aside.
Heat olive large non-stick saute pan on medium heat. Add onions and peppers. Cook stirring occasionally until onions are translucent (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds more. Remove from eat and place vegetables in a medium sized bowl, set aside.
Using same pan, sprinkle salt on bottom of pan. Heat on medium-high. Add ground turkey and break apart with a spoon into small crumbles as the turkey cooks. Allow the turkey to brown.
Return vegetables to pan. Add ketchup/tomato sauce mixture to pan. Stir to mix well. Lower heat to medium-low and let simmer for 10 minutes. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
Serve on buns (not included in calorie total)
