Ingredients

2 medium sweeter apples, such as Granny Smith or Rome. Our favorite is HoneyCrisp
    1/4 cup of raisins
1 tables spoon of brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon of cinnamin
    1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
    1/4-1/2 cup of apple juice

Serving over ice cream is optional

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Core apples and peel the skin off just the the top of the apple. Place apples in a oven safe casserole dish. 2 quart works well. In another bowl, combine raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg. Spoon mixture into apple centers and pour apple juice over apples. Bake the apples at 350 for 40 -45 minutes or until apples are tender. Basting occasionally keeps the apples moist. Serve warm with icecream.
